Shri Bhagwant Rai Nandrajog was born on May 26, 2916. He moved to Ferozepur from Kasur after marriage. He single-handedly raised a family of nine children in the best possible manner, educating them in the best institutions. His motto of life was hard work, simplicity and high thinking.
Regarded as a visionary, he was a very strong-willed man who converted his dreams into reality. The Trust and Vatika are sheer outcomes of his outstanding qualities, strong will, dedication, commitment and focus. He worked most of his life in Ferozepur and he always talked of Ferozepur as his Karam Bhoomi. He passed away on January 6, 2010, leaving behind a solid constitution of the Trust that allows people of Ferozepur to continue to enjoy the park and other activities set out to empower women, children and the elderly.
